Rider Ureña graduated from Altos de Chavón and Parsons School of Design with a degree on Fine Arts and Illustration . He has also attended classes at the Art Student League and Robert Blackburn Work Shop.
Rider has exhibited his drawings and sculptures at the Biennial E. Leon Jimenez in Dominican Republic and many other group shows in New York and Santo Domingo with a solo exhibition at Rio Gallery in Washington Heights, NY. He is well known for being the head of installations at P.S.1 MOMA Contemporary Art Center and for working with the Visual Arts Division at Columbia University in NY.
